The Moslem protestors and the Mohammed cartoon controversy

I've been quite busy this week but I've been reading the blogs and keeping an eye on the Mohammed cartoon controvery. Now it's my turn to pontificate on the subject. I'm deeply unimpressed by the protests and they merely vindicate my prejudices that Islam is a brittle religion.

It has no apologetics than the gun, the bomb, the sword and its adherents are prissy hysterics. Just look at the lions of Islam™ hiding under hijabs and abayas; if their cause is so righteous why hide their faces? Because they're just hotheaded poseurs who preen like peacocks.
The Moslems are genuinely shocked that Europeans are finally telling them to fuck themsleves. This usuual show of spine disconcerts the Moslems because Europeans are becoming less intimitated and are publically contesting Moslems' unmerited sense of superiority. So like typical bullies, the Moslems will redouble their insolence in the hopes that the Europeans will finally be cowed. They won't be and will probably start their own boycotts.

Still, I deeply resent the double standards. Christains have to put up with far more offensive insults to Jesus and their religion. Movies like Dogma, the upcoming Duh Vinci's code; books like Putman's Dark materials trilogy. Christains protest and petition but the chattering classes. They just blow us off as a bunch of supersticious ingoramuses who need the former's enlightenment. By contrast, the Moslems commit gratuitious violence and make public death threats and the same chattering classes grovel nauseating apologies and intone solemn promises of sensitivity.

The Moslems' moronic behaviour also also caused them to jump the shark prematurely and galvinize the Europeans. The ordinary Europeans already loathe the Moslems' unreasonable demands and the disruptive presence they bring to their neighbourhoods. The elites will no run as fast as possible to catch up where their citizenry is. So expect European officialdom to become increasingly divided: between those who'll show more spine and give the Moslems the finger, and eventually the boot; and those who want to grovel even more intensely.

Personally, I'm betting on the growing spine. The burning of the Norwegian and Dutch embassies in Damascus as well as the flag burning in the Gaza will compel the Euroelites to reevaluate their countries' relationship to the Mideast. They'll relaize that they really don't need the Mideast; not even for the oil. They can negoitate with the Russians who are far less prone to irrational behaviour.
The EuroMoslems had better tone down their insolence or they'll be on the receiving end of a riot.

L'estatut i el retorn potencial de Carod-Rovira

Vaja com les circumstàncies políiques canvien amb una ràpidesa. Fa gairebé un mica més de 2 anys que Maragall acomodià Carod-Rovira del govern quan el segon es reuní amb ETA en França.

Ara amb el compromí entre Mas i Zapatero que havia descafinëat l'estatut que enfadà tant l'ERC que amenaça a trencar el tripartit, Maragall sondeja Carod-Rovira a reprendre el càrrec de primer conseller. A veure que decideix Carod-Rovira. Personalment, opinio que dirà si però revindicarà tantes exigències que le comité federal del socialistes vetarà amb rotunditat

O Carod-Rovira empassa el compromís mas-Zapatero o nanies no reentrarà al govern català de nou. Eventualment, els republicans rebantaran el tripartit i provocaran el leccions anticipades. Es cansaran del estira-arronsa dels socialistes catalans i els obligaran a plantejar d'una vegada si o no volen l'estatut tal com s'havia sortit del Parlament. Doncs a seguir amb interès
