Terri and the cult of death

I couldn't write yesterday about Terri's situation because I was so revolted. I've followed the saga through Fr. Rob's blog and I'm reminded by the Spanish legionaries' cult of death during the Civil war ¡Viva la muerte! Indeed, I've never seen evil walk so confidently because nothing else explains the persistent bad faith that the judge has shown throughout the case.

He has accomodated all of Schiavo's request and denied the parents' no matter how modest or reasonable. Greer's conduct is one that cries out for an investigation as there are so many unanswered questions that have creeped out a lot of people. Further, Greer's ruling is a classic illustration of a weakness in the common law- the excessive deference given to both judge made law and res judicata. It's paralyzed the Florida legislature and the federal Congress for far too long. The Flordia legislators should've had more backbone and given the finger to the judges by revoking the autority of res judicata on rulings towards Terri.

Felos is another character that needs to be investiaged to. I wouldn't be surprised that this shyster has acted unethically as a lawyerr throughout the case. In fact, I want to know who's been bankrolling him. He's gone beyond zealous advocacy and become a fanatic. Aided and abetted by Greer of course.
As I've said before, we're becoming engulfed by an advancing culture of death. On the one hand, we have ethusansia, abortion and cloning and the other we have sucide bombers. Together, they'll embrace us to death.

La Commission Gomery, la corruption et les étudiants

Un autre semaine et des nouvelles révélations. Je ne surprends plus mais c'était intéressant de noter une certaine coïncidence entre les nouveaux témoinages et les manifestations estudiantales pour dénouncer les coupures des bourses et leur conversion en prêts.

Il n'y a pas de corrélation directe entre les deux mais on peut tirer des conclusions par la preuve circonstielle qu'il existe quand même un lien. La corruption prive le public à choisir ses priorités au profit des intérêts privés. On peut même si demander si le désequilibre fiscal n'est pas une conséquence évidente du scandale des commandite. J'espère que le public s'indigidera assez pour quelques gros poissions purgent leurs peines derrière les barreaux pour un bon bout de temps.
