Sorry that the blogging has been non-existent, real life committments intrude and I don't have as much quiet time to write as before. In any case, yesterday, I zipped by Kevin Drum's blog and I came across this post about Proposition 71 and the funding of embroyonic stem cell research.
I was particularly irritated at Kevin's flippant reason to sticking it to Bush and the rightwing Christian fanatics as a principal reason to vote for this legislative initiative if he hadn't opposed it for other reason. And you wonder why opponents like myself simply don't take the pro-embroyonic stell cell advocate with any seriousness?
There's no legitimate, if misguided to me, scientific principles or ethical positions to support embroynic stem cell research. Nope, this research is merely to give the finger to opponents and sneer at how much dumbfucks we are to advocate the dignity of the fetus as a person and not a natural resource to be exploited. O and if Bush somehow can be included in whatever foaming hatred du jour® the American left conconcts, why so much the better.
