Préserver mon français à Singapour

L'un des regrets que j'ai en démeurant ici à Singapour c'est la difficulté de passer par une librarie et lire les dernières BDs ou feuilleter les nouveautés francophones.

Certes, il existe une communauté 'fracine' c'ést-à-dire des Français mais elle n'est pas assez nombreuse pour qu'elle permet l'établissement d'une librarie. Il existe une librarie japonaise qui a une pétite section de litterature française et allemande mais les choix sont limités

C'est une chose lorsque j'écris des billets pour le carnet mais j,ai noté que mon accent anglais commence à prédominer encore. Helas! Après tant des années que je m'efforce pour le réduire. Eh bein je parlerai plus souvent avec les nièces.

The second bombing in London: will the government finally purge Londonstan?

Go figure. Yesterday, I didn't bother watching TV as I was with the fiancée and I wnd to bed early. So until I headed off to the gym the next morning and saw the headline that 4 coordinated explosions went off in London again, I had no idea. I shook my head. They could be copy cats or not

In any case, the cops won't speculate nor will they as the foresnic evidence will provide clues. In the meantime, I'm wondering if this latest blast will finally galavinize the government to purge Londonstan of its jihadists adherents. Anglospherists have often mocked about Spanish cowardice or French duplicity vis-à-vis the islamojihadists but at least they break up cells and arrest the support groups. By contrast, England has been rather blithe about the presence of true incitors of violence.

Worse, British officialdom refused reasonable request by European counterparts to extradite known jihadists for questioning. I appreciate the British tradition of safe haven for the perscuted but c'mon the jihadists in Londonstan flagrantly abused the privilege. Now I'm hoping that Blair and the government will become tough and boot out those foreigners who incite jihad; confiscate the assets of those organizations that are linked to the jihadists and sysmatically dismantal Londonstan. Give the inhabitants a really clear choice: abide by the laws, expose the jihadists or get out. I'm deeply disgusted that both the British Moslem population left their original countries due to poverty and persecution; yet demand that Britian accomodate them by becoming a quasi-islamic country and the government gives its assent.

The Moselms are conflicted: they benefit from the liberties of Western society but still want an Islamic polity. Unfortunately both are incompatible. One has to go and the latter is clearly inadequate to ensure the good life- after all the Moslems left it behind when they emigrated. So that's proof enough that an Islamic polity is inferior to Western civilization.
